No One Ever Told Us That
Money and life lessons for young adults
John D. Spooner
I frequently go to the library with my kids to get a new stash of bedtime stories. Whilst they play I often wonder over to browse the 322 financial economics section of the library and pick up a book for myself. I was attracted to this one by the subtitle Money and life lessons for young adults. I was at the time keeping an eye out for money books for kids. This book was a real surprise. Each chapter is designed to give real world advice to young adults. The author is an American investment advisor and novelist and despite his target market being clearly for young American men, Spooner is witty and shares much wisdom relevant to all. It doesn’t cover specific financial advice per se but rather advice on how to conduct oneself to get ahead and succeed in life. An unexpected little gem well worth the read.
